Thursday Tech Talk – Episode 22 – Can You Hear Me?

Over the past few months, off the air, Anthony and I have always given Nick grief because of his lack of a microphone. Yes the built in mic on your laptop works, but there are some issues that come along with using that microphone. Finally Nick broke down this week and got a new Audio Technica ATR2100 mic and he sounds brilliant. But it didn’t stop Anthony and I from having our fun! Check out the Youtube video below of our prank on Nick.

Thursday Tech Talk – Episode 20 – It’s a New Dude

How many of you trade in your old games when buying new ones? I’m trying to think of the last time I purchased a game at full price, new or used. It’s been a really really long time and even if I did buy it at full retail my guess is that I used a Best Buy or Gamestop gift card. Apparently, Microsoft’s new console “Durango” will not allow you to play a used game. Awesome. If this is true, what are your thoughts?

Thursday Tech Talk – Episode 19 – Goodbye Google Reader

90% of my day just got eliminated. That’s right. I use Google Reader everywhere. It is my home page on every single browser I run on the 3 computers I use on a daily basis. I am an AVID user of Google Reader so to hear the news that Google is shutting it down, really hurts. I’ve been searching for a replacement but I haven’t found one yet. What’s worse is that all of my podcast feeds will now need to be moved to another app on my Android phone. I know I know, first world problems I get it. But when something becomes a habit, it’s very hard to break and not having Google Reader around is going to sting come July 1st.

Thursday Tech Talk – Episode 18 – PS4 and More

After a few weeks off Thursday Tech Talk is back as Nick and Nick discuss the latest PS4 news. What were your thoughts on the news? Will you be getting a PS4? As someone who just recently purchased a PS3 I can safely say there is no way I’m getting a PS4. I wasn’t blown away by anything they annnounced and I’m sure that the pricing for the PS4 will be through the roof. I’ll pass. If PSN start making me pay for online access well then I’ll be switching back to the Xbox side of things.

I wonder if anyone had the courage to say that to Michael Dell the former founder of Dell Computers. Last week he purchased Dell for just over 24 billion (with a B) dollars. It would have been pretty funny at least. We must not have scared Anthony too badly last week because he came back again this week thirsting for more. We’re very thankful he has joined our team.
